Leicester 1937 Coronation tin

Leicester 1937 Coronation tin
Leicester 1937 Coronation tin
Inside of tin

This tin was issued by the City of Leicester to celebrate the coronation of King George V1 in 1937. On the lid it has a picture of the new King and Queen. On one side it has the City crest and the details of the issue of the tin and on the others there are pictures of the De Montfort Hall, The Town Hall and the Old Guildhall.

Approx 100mm wide, 70mm front to back and 105mm high. Some scratching generally to the tin and the inside is a little rusty but still quite presentable. Overall a pretty good commemorative tin for collectors of royal and Leicester memorabilia and also the general tin collector.
